Guttorm
Our client Mr G Isaksen has held a lifelong fascination with passenger aviation. While working in rural Norway, Guttorm shuck his head at the lack of sustainable aircraft that was also capable of operating efficiently and safely in the mountains of Norway.
He envisaged a small airliner, designed around the passenger, capable of carrying 19 passengers, in comfort, and using short airfields and with a high-performance ceiling.
To underpin this after researching the literature and developing his own knowledge he created a concept of a light aircraft with an electrostatic propulsion (ESP) system forming a laminar boundary layer over the fuselage for efficient electrically based aircraft propulsion and reduced drag. The details of the concepts were encapsulated into a small portfolio of patent applications. The first of these applications has now overcome all objections.

Mr Isaksen is now working with leading technologists to develop the revolutionary use of electrostatic propulsion (ESP) in light aircraft. The opportunities for environmentally acceptable air travel are immense and the revolutionary fuselage and wings offer minimal drag and maximal lift!
The hopes of such innovation are not only to revolutionise the field of commuter aviation but to support growth of UK aircraft production.
We supported Guttorm in successfully registering a UK Patent and have wide experience in aeronautical applications.
